A master's thesis was discussed in the College of Arts at the University of Basrah, entitled (Violation of the principle of gradient phonemic resonance in the language of the child: from a contrastive and differential perspective).
The thesis presented by the student, Ali Mutashar Abboud, included the identification of syllable-based processes among children of native and semi-native speakers of the English language, using differential theory to calculate these processes, and how to address violations of the principle of gradient phonemic resonance for each category.
The thesis concluded that native children show a lower frequency of gross violations compared to non-native children, which paves the way for a deeper understanding of vocal violations differentially.
