Dr. Wissam Munther from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra gave a scientific lecture on hemorrhagic fever within the extension program of the Directorate of Agricultural Extension and Training and in cooperation with the University of Basra.
The purpose of the lecture was to introduce the disease, its causes and symptoms.
The workshop included an explanation of the mechanism of disease prevention and investigation of the source of infection for humans and disease-carrying animals by conducting a national epidemiological survey of animals likely to be carriers of the virus that causes the disease, including field and wild animals and ticks that transmit the disease.
