She teaching staff at the College of Medicine of Basra University published a scientific paper in the international journal (Urologia Internationalis). The aim of the research was to compare urethral plastic surgeries resulting from congenital anomalies with hypospadias by placing a catheter and inserting it, especially in cases where the hypospadias is close to the normal site of the urethral orifice. The researcher found that it is possible not to place a urethral catheter in some cases, and that the rates of complications that may occur are almost close in case the catheter is placed or not.
