A master’s thesis in the Department of Statistics at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basrah entitled ((Estimating the risk function for the new complex distribution (Akash-Exponential) with application)) was discussed.
The researcher Hassan Abdel Hadi Hussein’s thesis aimed to identify the proposal of a new composite probability distribution (Exponential - Akash) using the T-X family composition method, as it is more flexible and suitable for modeling complex data, deriving the statistical properties of the new composite distribution, estimating its parameters in more than one way, and estimating the risk function in addition to applying the new complex distribution to real data for patients with breast cancer.
The thesis recommended working hard and in-depth in studying the properties of the Exponential - Akash distribution and studying the behavior of the rest of its functions, such as the risk function, and approving the study with the Ministry of Health to benefit from it in explaining the behavior of other types of cancer or other diseases.
