The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, visited the cultural camp on Ya Hussein Road, Pillar 840, between Al-Najaf and Holy Karbala.
The camp is considered an educational awareness camp whose goal is to spread the biography and beliefs of Ahl Al-Bayt, peace be upon them, and to convey a beautiful picture of the students of the University of Basrah and their interests in cultural affairs.
The camp included a photo exhibition that explains the religion in a way that is popular with people and in a different way. There is a special corner that contains Qur’anic competitions and booklets about knowledge in the Qur’an. There is a Mahdawi corner that contains competitions and posters that explain the signs of the appearance of the Imam, the Hujjah, may God hasten his honorable appearance, as well as various religious and cultural books given to visitors as a gift, in addition to a screen featuring short and influential films and posters explaining the sciences of Ahl al-Bayt and linking them to abstract sciences.
It is worth mentioning that the idea of establishing the cultural camp emerged from the student Woroud Imad in the College of Education for Pure Sciences, with the support and encouragement of the Dean of the College.
