The College of Education for Human Sciences organized an expanded meeting to hold seminars on problems that have a significant impact on society, including (the scourge of drugs and how to protect young people from them). This is part of the College’s tireless endeavor to take its role in serving society and treating some societal diseases.
I have drawn up a comprehensive plan to visit a number of tribes in Basra and deliver awareness lectures to prevent them as much as possible.
The meeting was moderated by the Dean of the College (Prof. Dr. Nidaa Al-Yasiri) and in the presence of all members of the College’s Seminars and Conferences Committee. It was agreed that mid-September would be the date for the first seminars, in cooperation with the Narcotics Control Service, doctors and psychologists. The goal is to raise awareness among the community about the effects resulting from this scourge, and for the university’s role to be effective in serving the community.
