The Department of Ecology at the College of Science at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the concentrations of PCBs in the water and sediments of the southern part of the Tigris River.
The seminar, in which Al-Hasnain Mustafa Kazem lectured, aims to study the concentrations of PCBs in the Tigris River, especially in water and sediments.
The episode presented the results during the study period, including the discovery of one of the types of compound PCB189, which is a type of carcinogenic dioxin compound.
