The President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, inaugurated a number of university infrastructure and environment projects in the College of Engineering. He began the visit by opening the internal streets in the college, which were covered with sidewalks, in addition to painting all the sidewalks according to engineering specifications. He also opened the rainwater sewer project, which It was accomplished due to the absence of a rainwater drainage system previously in the college. His Excellency participated in operating the submersibles and learning about their working mechanism, which was completed in record time. After that, the President of the University moved to the college gardens to contribute to planting a seedling as an initiative to increase the green spaces in the college.
