held by the Prime Minister's Office, on Tuesday, 19/9/2023 at the Ziggurat Palace building in Baghdad city, under the patronage of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, on the role of scientific studies and research centers in the success of the government program. Representatives of three main universities, Mosul, Anbar and Basra, with their affiliated scientific research centers, as well as undersecretaries of the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Agriculture and specialists in the Ministry of Water Resources also participated. The symposium aims to harmonize the findings of research centers with the vocabulary of the government program and its goals by employing the important and distinguished efforts provided by the study and research centers affiliated with many Iraqi universities. The symposium dealt with a number of themes, including the issue of desertification and drought, ways of dealing with it, water salinity and alternatives, waste of wealth and sustainable development, and the shift of research findings from theory to practice in order to arrive at practical ideas that contribute to meeting the needs of Iraqi citizens and solving the problems they face.
