Dr. Saad Shahin Hamadi, the President of the University of Basrah, received the shield of the International University Theatre Festival held in Monastir, Tunisia. The shield which was presented by Dr. Saif Al-Din Al-Hamdani, a faculty member at the College of Fine Arts, during his representation of Iraq at the conference.
Dr. Saif Al-Din Al-Hamdani's participation included his role as a member of the judging committee and his contribution to the intellectual seminar address 'Scenography: New Perspectives Emerging from the Potential of Digital Imagery for University Theatre Students.'
He was honoured at the international festival with a certificate of appreciation, a shield from the judging committee, and the festival's logo.
