The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the preparation of coumarin derivatives with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The seminar included a lecture given by pharmacist Wafaa Youssef Khalaf, in which she demonstrated the synthesis of target compounds from coumarin derivatives and the analysis of these materials using several different techniques, such as infrared radiation, mass spectrometry, and proton and carbon magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and the investigation of pharmacological activities such as antioxidants and antitumors, as well as a theoretical study to determine Molecular docking calculations.
