The College of Education in Qurna, Department of Life Sciences, in cooperation with the Palm Research Center, organized a scientific workshop on tissue agriculture between reality and ambition.
During which, Professor Dr. Khayoun Ali Mohsen, a specialist in plant tissue culture and teaching at the Palm Research Center, gave his lecture on plant propagation using tissue culture technology, in which he gave a detailed explanation of the concept of tissue culture, its fields and uses, and the problems facing those working in tissue culture.
The researcher touched on the interest of the government and private sectors in this field, especially the Palm Research Center, which has made great strides in overcoming difficulties, producing date palm plants and acclimatizing them to external conditions, and work is still continuing according to available capabilities. ٩
