The Pharmaceutics Department at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah held a discussion field entitled (Preparing laboratory samples for the purpose of analysis in order to raise the level of graduate students in the research aspect) with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The discussion panel included a lecture delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Najm Abboud, in which he explained several topics, including the importance of preparing the sample and its significant impact on the accuracy of the results or analyses, and what are their types and characteristics of each of them, along with the most important characteristics of standardization of devices and the methods adopted for the ideal preparation of samples before examination. The samples are either solid or liquid, and sometimes they are classified according to their biological or chemical content, and all of them require special methods of preparation. The method of analysis largely determines the specifications or shape of the sample, especially the quantity, because of its importance in determining the specifications of raw drugs or pharmaceutical products, and then determining their acceptance or rejection in the laboratory, so This topic is important for researchers, whether graduate studies or working in pharmaceutical analysis and evaluation laboratories.
