The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah held a poetry festival in solidarity with their brothers and sisters in free Palestine. The festival was attended by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ali Taha Yassin, along with faculty and students from the college.
The event featured recitations of poems conveying the full meaning of empathy and solidarity among Arab nations, especially the proud Iraqi people, in support of their brethren in Palestine.
Students presented the suffering of children, women, and the elderly, and the inhumane massacres carried out by the Zionists against the Palestinian people through documentary films that illustrated the brutality of taking human lives without reason and the forced displacement of innocent citizens.
The event concluded with chanting national slogans condemning the Zionist occupation and turning to God, for He is the Answerer of prayers. "Death to the enemies, victory for Islam, and long live free and proud Palestine."
