A master's thesis at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Basra discussed the representations of anti-racism in contemporary world painting.
The thesis presented by researcher Manal Raihan Salman included the topic of racism, which is considered a barbaric practice based on prejudice and intolerant behaviors and is based on the persecution and marginalization of individuals and groups for religious, color, ethnic, linguistic or cultural reasons and reaches violence in a brutal way.
The message aims to identify the representations of the theme of anti-racism in the contemporary global formation.
The thesis concluded that racism is the prevailing belief among humans that it is possible to be fragmented into biological entities called races and that these races are innately superior to other races, the problem of discrimination and differentiation between humans arises and thus problems are generated.
