The thesis dealt with the problem of social laziness, which is one of the cases that has posed great concern to specialists in education and psychology over a long term, as the problem of the current research is determined that social laziness means that there is little effort, or the collapse of the individual effort during group work, and this problem has a bad effect. On the social and psychological compatibility of the student that may affect his personality and behavior during group work, and here the importance of research and the need for it emerges, that is, after repeated experiments and results over and over again, scientists found that social indolence has an effect on individuals and their personalities in the fields of work, and from here the importance of current research is evident In the theoretical and applied fields.
The thesis aims to reveal the social laziness of university students. And the effect of the procedural control technique to think about reducing social indolence among university students, and the effect of confrontational technique in reducing social indolence among university students.
The researcher reached the following conclusions (1) that the instructional program is based on the two techniques of procedural control based on the theory of rational-emotional therapy, which descends into the rational-cognitive school and confronts the world Glaser, which descends to the cognitive school, as the program is positive and effective and can be used in order to apply it to Other indicative groups have the same characteristics as the current research sample through other Iraqi universities. 2- That extension programs have proven their importance and successful and effective effect in reducing social indolence and developing desired behavior during work within the group and modifying unwanted behavior, as there is an effect of extension programs, including local 3.When the characteristic of social laziness indicates a state of weakness and psychological and behavioral boredom for the university student, through this we build a wide range of counseling programs that can reduce or reduce the level of this feature. 4. The thesis recommended the necessity of activating the role of extension units in all Iraqi universities, especially colleges, and making use of psychological and family counseling centers for the purpose of diagnosing individuals who suffer from social indolence. And benefit from this program in the Ministry of Education that is based on the techniques of procedural control for thinking and confrontation, and training the guides on the activities used for the purpose of applying them to middle and middle school students, especially those who suffer from social laziness.)
