The Department of Architecture, in the fourth stage of the College of Engineering at the University of Basrah, arranged this visit to Safwan to include it in the first project of the architectural design course for the current academic year. The objectives were to develop the auction and prepare appropriate architectural designs to transform it into a commercial area in the economically significant city of Basrah.
The visit had the goal of evaluating the current state of the auction, selecting a suitable location, andacquaintance knowledge of the activities on-site to prepare initial project studies, assess issues, and derive conclusions leading to suitable design concepts. The visit was conducted with the fourth-stage teaching staff and also included a visit to the Jebel Sinam area.
