The College of Education for Human Sciences organizes a workshop on (tolerance and forgiveness for others)
The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Education for Human Sciences at Basra University organized a workshop on .. (tolerance and forgiveness for others) with the participation of researchers and specialists. The workshop included a lecture given by the teaching staff at Salah al-Din University, Assistant Professor Dr. Walid Khaled Baban, in which he addressed the need to show the spirit of tolerance and the seriousness of the repercussions Failure to accept the other as it threatens security, peace and peaceful coexistence with others regardless of their ethnic and ideological affiliations and stripes.
The workshop discussed the challenges and the most prominent behaviors that limit the spread and exchange of feelings of friendliness and love, whether at the level of individuals or ethnic and religious groups, and focused on the concept of tolerance from a religious, psychological and social point of view, and during which the most prominent theories and theoretical perspectives that addressed this concept
The workshop showed that the most prominent defects in the failure to adopt the spirit of tolerance with others is manifested in adherence to opinion and intolerance to belief and affiliations of all kinds.
The workshop concluded that the media is one of the most serious threats to the lack of a culture of acceptance of others, especially since the interactive platforms on the network are spider and far from the eye of censorship by the competent authorities,
The workshop recommended those interested in this regard to emphasize the importance of the family, school and religious establishment playing their role in spreading the culture of tolerance as a common global language in our multicultural world.
