The textbook authored by Dr Qais Nasser Rahi, "The Cognitive Foundation of Crimes of the Ba'ath Party in Iraq," is officially adopted as a source for curriculum development at the Basrah and Arab Gulf Studies Center at the University of Basrah. It is incorporated into the supporting academic courses for teaching both graduate and undergraduate students in Iraqi universities under the overarching theme of "Crimes of the Overthrown Ba'ath Regime." The book represents an effort to study and document the genocidal and humanitarian crimes committed against the Iraqi people during the era of the former regime. It was published by the Iraqi Center for Documenting Extremist Crimes, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Abbas in Iraq.
