The Department of Political and Strategic Studies at the Basrah and Arab Gulf Studies Center at the University of Basrah organized a seminar about” the political relations between Iraq and Kuwait following the Federal Court's decision to annul the Kuwait-Iraq Khawr Abdullah Agreement.”
The panel, which was presented by Dr. Hazem Hameed Al-Rikabi, addressed the political relations between Iraq and Kuwait and provided a forward-looking perspective on these relations, especially after the Federal Supreme Court decided to cancel the Khawr Abd Allah Agreement. The discussion emphasized the importance of a rational approach that Kuwaiti leadership should adopt to ensure the resolution of the border issue between the two countries and to leverage the transitional phase in Iraq to establish a factual demarcation of their borders, ultimately contributing to reducing future tensions in their relations.
