The Department of Arabic Language at the College of Education for Girls organized a panel discussion about "Supernatural Time in Quranic Narratives," which was presented by Dr. Salem Abdulnabi Al-Aqabi.
The researcher defined supernatural time in Quranic narratives as a miraculous time that defies the relative time's authority and disrupts it in several Quranic stories that have been identified.
The discussion also delved into the duality of space and time in the Quranic text, highlighting the Quran's miraculous treatment of places and times that differ from our world's laws and principles.
Furthermore, the researcher emphasized that a careful reading of Quranic texts reveals the divisions of time in terms of their connection to cosmic landmarks, as well as their cosmic significance related to the sun, the moon, and other human beings.
The researcher ultimately categorized the Quranic time into two fundamental types: a physical, objective time independent of human consciousness, and a relative, subjective time linked to the behaviour of human beings, evaluated by the Muslim's conduct according to the Creator's divine discourse, which is Allah.
