College of Pharmacy Participates in Reviewing International Medical Research for the American Journal PLOS ONE
Asst. Prof. Dr. (Alaa Abdul-Hussein Al-Suraikh) was selected to peer-review a rigorous scientific research paper for the prestigious American journal PLOS ONE, with an impact factor of 3.75, indexed in Scopus and Clarivate.
The reviewed research addressed an advanced specialized study on the ability of specific types of "Probiotics" to break down bio-compounds responsible for uric acid synthesis both in-vitro and in-vivo. The significance of this study lies in exploring the possibility of utilizing these biotic components as effective adjuvant treatments for Gout, opening new therapeutic horizons in pharmaceutical and medical sciences.
