College of Pharmacy Enhances Health Safety Systems for Dormitory Students with a Humanitarian Medical Initiative
As part of the College of Pharmacy's community service activities, Assistant Professor Dr. (Maitham Abdel-Nabi Al-Rikabi) initiated the provision of first aid equipment and essential medicines to five dormitory departments at the Karma Ali complex.
This initiative, a collaborative effort between the College of Pharmacy and Al-Kindi Model Pharmacy, aims to provide immediate primary health care for dormitory students, particularly those with chronic illnesses or facing emergency cases within the residential complex. This step reflects the faculty's commitment to student safety and health beyond official working hours.
Dr. Al-Rikabi emphasized that equipping these medical kits and specific medicines empowers students to handle critical and emergency cases until specialized medical care arrives. It is a practical embodiment of the college's mission to serve the university community and provide humanitarian support to University of Basrah guests from all governorates.
The College of Pharmacy continues to adopt initiatives that enhance health security and a stable study environment, affirming that student health is a top priority and an integral part of academic life quality.
