The master's thesis was discussed in the Arabic Language Department - College of Education for Humanities at the University of Basra
The artistic formation of the image in modern Qur’anic studies.
The thesis dealt with: the artistic formation of the Qur’anic image, as it represents the merging and harmony of linguistic elements within the framework of building the image, and shaping it into an artistic form. The first of these elements was sensory imagination and artistic anthropomorphism, followed by semantic shift, then the rhythmic element.
The thesis included: modern Qur’anic studies that worked on the Qur’anic text as a textual material in an aesthetic artistic style, far from restriction and codification. Rather, it focused on the applied aspect, because it clearly shows the method and purpose, as the analysis of the Qur’anic evidence took a purely artistic approach.
The thesis concluded: The thesis monitored the diversity and difference in modern researchers’ understanding of the role of the artistic elements that make up the image, each according to its cultural adoptions and analytical tools with which it deals with Qur’anic images.
