During the lecture which was presented by Dr Abdul Karim Al-Mouzan emphasized that the educational process plays a fundamental role in the progress and growth of society. Its practice requires a commitment to noble ethics and virtuous principles, based on the ethical charter built on principles and ethical values derived from the values of our Islamic society, cultural environment, human values, and general ethics. This includes foremost the respect for the dignity of individuals in their thoughts, expressions, and differences of opinion, and the commitment to equality in treatment with peers without any discrimination.
He added that university professors should demonstrate integrity in their dealings with others in speech and action
in public interest over personal interests, refrain from exploiting academic positions to achieve personal goals and avoid damaging the reputation of the university and its policies for personal gain. Professors should also commit to mutual respect with colleagues and students in all interactions, and steer clear of personal issues and narrow affiliations.
At the end of the lecture, Al-Mouzan recommended a set of recommendations for university students, including cultivating patience in seeking knowledge, avoiding distractions that hinder academic achievement, showing respect and appreciation for teaching staff and administrative members, fostering a spirit of love, kindness, and cooperation with colleagues, and contributing to various academic, cultural, social, and sports activities in the university.
Additionally, students should refrain from engaging in any activities within the university campus that may disrupt a healthy academic environment and the optimal functioning of the educational process.
