The College of Dentistry at Basra University held a workshop on suturing wounds inside the mouth, suturing in dentistry, and the basic principles followed in the suturing process, for a period of three days.
The workshop included practical lessons delivered by Dr. Sondos Abdel-Wadood Nehme to teach fourth-year students all the techniques used in sewing and the factors affecting the use of one technique over another.
Dr. Dalia Munther Naeem gave theoretical lectures introductory to all types of threads suitable for use by the human body in terms of the materials they are manufactured from.
Dr. Sondos extended her thanks and gratitude to Dr. Laith Al Nuaimi, President of the Pulse Foundation, for his cooperation with the College of Dentistry and providing the students with seventy-five wound suturing kits as a gift for the students to use in practical application.
