The college's Continuing Education Unit organized a seminar on insulin resistance, symptoms, causes, prevention, and treatment.
The lecture was attended by the teacher, Dr. Wathiq Pharaon, a faculty member at the College of Nursing.
The episode discussed the causes of insulin resistance and how to prevent it, as well as treat this condition. It also included how to differentiate between type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes, in addition to distinguishing between true and insipidus diabetes.
The seminar aims to keep pace with the latest developments in various diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of diabetes
The seminar recommended increasing awareness of diabetes and its clinical complications, increasing interest in healthy nutrition and regular exercise to prevent diabetes, and preparing booklets and folders to increase community awareness of diabetes and its unique complications.
