Under the patronage of the President of the University of Basra, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Murtadha Mohammed Saleh Al-Musafer, in cooperation with the Basrah Health Department, under the auspices of AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical Company, and within the activities of continuing medical education.
The Pediatrics department at the College of Medicine,, held a scientific symposium on the hall of the late Dr. Asim Al-Chalabi at Basra Hospital for Women and Children entitled therapeutic measures for diseases of newborns and children under the age of five, where the lecturers presented the modern treatment curriculum of the World Health Organization approved by the Iraqi Ministry of Health to treat children under the age of five and support their health and proper development.
