College of Pharmacy Holds Annual Evaluation Conference to Review Scientific and Administrative Excellence for 2022/2023
In the presence of distinguished academic leaders and representatives from the University of Basrah, the College of Pharmacy reviewed its annual achievements, reaffirming its leadership in national rankings and infrastructure development.
Key Strategic Highlights:
The conference, chaired by Asst. Prof. Dr. (Gibran Khalil Hassan), reviewed four strategic pillars. The **Scientific Research Pillar** detailed international publishing and global institutional collaboration, while the **Administrative Pillar** focused on revenue diversification and self-funded infrastructure. The **Scientific Pillar** discussed patents and international agreements, and the **Community Service Pillar** highlighted monthly contributions to orphanages, Al-Ain Foundation, and the Children's Specialty Hospital.
Record of Achievements:
The college secured 1st place in Website Development and Warehouse Week at the university, and 2nd place in Electronic Week. Its defining role during the pandemic included VTM production and obtaining advanced national rankings among Iraqi medical colleges, alongside supporting student dormitories with cooling and internet systems.
The conference concluded with an analysis of institutional strengths and weaknesses, offering practical proposals for improvement. It ended with a ceremony honoring retirees and top-achieving students, recognizing their contributions to maintaining the college's prestigious academic standing.
