Based on the directives of the President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen, the respected, and based on the instructions of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Professor Abdul Amir Al-Mousawi, the respected, and in order to give the opportunity and make room for our children, students from preparatory school graduates, given the difficult conditions that our dear country is going through, the College of Nursing announces Basra University has announced extending the application for evening studies for the new academic year 2020-2021.
Categories included in the application:
1- Preparatory school graduates (scientific branch or biological branch).
2- Nursing high school graduates from Basra Health Department employees.
3- The first 10% of the graduates of both the Technical Medical Institute (departments of community health and nursing only) and the Higher Institute of Health Professions in all its branches from Basra Health Department employees.
Conditions and mechanism for applying:
Visit the college’s website (http://nur.uobasrah.edu.iq) for the purpose of downloading and filling out the electronic application form by the applicant completely and accurately, and then withdraw it on paper, provided that it is sealed and signed by the applicant’s preparatory school and then submitted to the Registration and Student Affairs Division At the college, for the purpose of receiving the application file (file) and to download the form, click here.
The percentage of accepted students is as follows: (90% for graduates of the scientific or biological branch + 10% for graduates of nursing prep) according to the directives of the ministry.
For the first 10% of the graduates of the above institutes, their submission and acceptance through the Ministry shall be exclusively.
All applicants are subject to competition and selection between them (according to each category) for the purpose of their admission to the evening study according to the differential average for each one of them. Where the sum of the differential rate is 100% and is divided as follows:
A- 60% for the prep rate.
B- 40% for the degree of the interview, where all applicants will be interviewed by a specialized committee in the college for the purpose of knowing their competence and qualifications that will determine whether or not they are accepted in the evening study.
Fetch all of the following documents to be attached to the file:
4 colored copies of the unified national card or the four documents (civil status identity + certificate of nationality + residence card + ration card) in addition to a housing endorsement sealed by the municipal council of the student's residence and certified by the provincial council addressed to (College of Nursing - University of Basra).
An equivalent certificate from the Ministry of Education for students who obtained a degree from outside Iraq.

General Notes:
** The extension period for submission starts from Sunday 12/13/2020 until the end of the official working hours on Thursday 12/17/2020.
** Interviews for all new applicants during the extension period will start on Sunday 12/20/2020.
