The College of Dentistry at the University of Basra established a charitable bazaar that contributes to helping needy and poor families.
The bazaar, with the participation of first- and second-year students in the basic sciences branch, was very well attended by students from the faculties of the Bab al-Zubair complex.
The bazaar aims to help the poor and needy families by displaying homemade sweets, drawing, calligraphy, and other handicrafts, selling them, and allocating their profits to the needy.
Scientific Assistant Dr. Ali Taha Yassin said that the charitable bazaar held was carried out in a high cooperative spirit by the college students in general, and the proceeds from this bazaar will go to charitable societies and needy families.
For his part, the head of the Basic Sciences Branch, Dr. Saeed Kazem Ahmed, indicated that several activities were carried out by the students through work on this day, including calligraphy, drawing, and decoration, in addition to other handicrafts, in addition to making sweets, which made it a beautiful day that will remain immortal in memory.
The students expressed their opinion through this bazaar. There are many messages that we conveyed to those who attended it or heard about it, which are that we must develop and that the University of Basra should not be limited to education, as talent has a place in it as well. Most importantly, we must think about the capabilities or experiences we have that can serve Our university and society.
