The Scientific Cooperation Unit organizes a study on the life of the poet Badr Shaker Al-Sayyab
The Scientific Cooperation Unit with scientific societies and civil society organizations at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Al-Nahda Cultural Foundation, organized a cultural event about the life of the poet Badr Shaker Al-Sayyab in the College of Arts.
Director of the Scientific Cooperation Unit, Dr. Ahmed Mane, stated that the morning session was held in the English Department and included the showing of a documentary film about the life of the poet Badr Shaker Al-Sayyab and the reading of a number of his poems.
Manea added that the morning included a lecture by Dr. Walid Abdel Majeed, during which he explained the importance of mastering the Arabic language and avoiding common mistakes. The poetry slam received wide participation from students majoring in Arabic and English.
