The Continuous Education and Development Center at the University of Basra held a lecture on the development of digital content and support for practical work for Unit Four of the updated curriculum teaching methods course for the southern region's engineering specialization.
The lecture, presented by Dr. Adi Bshir Issa from the Electrical Department of the College of Engineering at the University of Basra, aimed to provide trainees with the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance digital content and support its application in the context of e-learning.
Dr. Adi Bshir Issa covered topics such as learning management systems, electronic platforms, an introduction to managing learning systems and electronic platforms, an explanation of Google Classroom as a learning management system, an introduction to Moodle as an e-learning management platform, and the presentation of important activities, including setting up a virtual classroom using Google Classroom with requirements and resources.
The lecture also touched upon topics like MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses), Open Educational Resources (OER), electronic communication platforms, the use of Google Meet and Zoom for virtual meetings, and designing interactive digital content using PowerPoint. Additionally, Dr. Issa explained the use of Edpuzzle as a tool to turn videos into interactive learning experiences.
