The Department of Qur’anic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education for Human Sciences - University of Basra held a panel discussion on the role of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and his contributions to the knowledge building of visual people.
The episode aims to learn about the reforms carried out by Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in Basra after the end of the Battle of the Camel, their effects at all levels, and his contributions to correcting deviations and building the knowledge of the Basra people.
The episode presented by Dr. Ahmed Dakhel Khalati included an explanation of the importance of the Basra Mosque and making it a cultural center that receives students of knowledge from various parts of the Islamic world, and the role of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) in establishing the first grammar school in Basra, his interest in the scientific aspect such as astronomy, and selecting scientifically qualified figures to correct.
