The symposium pointed out that the problem of domestic violence is a social-psychological phenomenon that all developed and developing societies alike suffer from at different rates, and it is a dangerous phenomenon that threatens the security and integrity of the family.
She explained that it is a negative phenomenon and that its appearance represents a failure in socialization, which represents the cornerstone of family construction
She explained that among the most important causes of domestic violence are biological factors inherent in inherited genes that make a person naturally violent, economic causes represented by poverty and unemployment, and social causes represented by addiction to drugs and alcohol, poor family upbringing, and war crises. In addition to the causes of reputation, honor, and inequality between men and women, in addition to other causes.
She called for addressing domestic violence by activating the force of the law and holding accountable people who commit violence against people or family members.
