The History Department at the College of Arts, University of Basra, held an introductory seminar on university instructions for new first-year students accepted into the History Department for the academic year 2023/2024, on Thursday, 12/28/2023, at nine-thirty in the morning in the History Department hall, in cooperation with the Center for Development and Continuing Education in the college.
The lecturer was: Professor Dr. Shaker Majeed Kazem
The seminar aimed to introduce students to the controls, instructions, laws and regulations related to students, such as adherence to uniforms, decency, the mechanism for calculating absences and sick leave for students, and instructions related to transportation, hosting, and postponement, in addition to explaining how to perform quarterly and annual exams. The seminar also addressed the danger of electronic blackmail and the necessity of educating students. These risks, and highlighting the importance of educational guidance.
