College of Engineering at the University of Basrah received a delegation from UNICEF, where the meeting was attended by Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, Dr. Munir Abdel Jalil Ismail, Dr. Hamid Hayab Samir, and Dr. Ali Kamel Marzouq. The meeting included discussion of mechanisms for joint cooperation between the college and the organization in the field of climate change and environmental sustainability. Discussions focused on the issue of educating children, the necessity of providing a suitable study environment for them, and how to benefit from engineering expertise, especially architectural expertise, in designing model schools that adopt sustainable environmental solutions and in accordance with approved international standards.
