Publication of a book for a teacher at the University of Basra on psychological measurement and educational evaluation
A book titled Psychological Measurement and Educational Evaluation was published by the teacher at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra, Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Abdullah, in collaboration with the assistant teacher, Nasser Thamer Lafta.
The book, which included 220 pages distributed over eight chapters, dealt with the concept of measurement and evaluation, the difference and relationship between them, the historical development of the process of measurement and evaluation and their role in the educational process. It also touched on the goals, levels and purposes of measurement and evaluation, and the general characteristics and their importance in the educational institution. The book also touched on Fields and tools of educational evaluation, as well as steps for preparing classroom achievement tests, writing and drafting test items, and the characteristics of a good test.
