Within its policy of marine sustainability... University of Basrah participates in the fourth national and second international conference
College of Marine Sciences at University of Basrah participated in the Fourth National and Second International Conference on Sustainable Marine Development, held by Khorramshahr University of Science and Technology in the Republic of Iran. The Dean of the College of Marine Sciences, Dr. Osama Qasim Khalifa, and Dr. Nawras Abdul-Ghani, the teaching assistant at College of Marine Sciences, participated in the activities of the scientific conference held at the Khorramshahr University of Marine Science and Technology based on the invitation submitted by the University of Khorramshahr. Dr. Osama Qasim gave the opening speech at the conference about introducing the attendees to the College and Center of Marine Sciences at the University of Basrah and its scientific and research potential, which received attention and appreciation from the academics and experts participating in the conference. The participants assumed the presidency and membership of the scientific committees to manage the practical conference sessions. On the sidelines of the conference activities, researchers exchanged ideas and visions about the possibility of scientific cooperation and conducting joint scientific research between the two sides.
