University of Basrah receives a delegation from Al-Nahrain Network at University College London, Department of History
College of Engineering at University of Basrah received a delegation from Al-Nahrain Network at University College London, Department of History. The delegation was represented by Director of the Al-Nahrain Network, Professor Elinor Robson, and she was accompanied by Mr. Mahyar Abd. The visit coincided with the visit of the President of University of Basra, Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem, to College of Engineering. The delegation was received by Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Mufid Turki Rashid, Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Sarmad Abdullah Abbas, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Adeed Habib Taha, and Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs. Professor Dr. Mounir Abdel Jalil and Head of the Department of Architecture, Dr. Hamid Hayab Samir, discussed during the meeting topics related to visual heritage and the mechanism of advancement in visual architecture. The visit aims to strengthen relations between the London College and the College of Engineering and extend bridges of cooperation between the two universities. These meetings come within the framework of the continued keenness to open up to international networks and universities.
