Under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, and based on the principle “A drop of blood may save a life.”
The Deanship of the College of Nursing organized a large blood donation campaign in cooperation with the College’s Student Activities Unit and the National Blood Transfusion Bank in Basra. Participated in the charitable campaign that was organized this morning, Sunday, February 25, 2024, by Prof. Fatima Hassan, Prof. Yousef Salman, and Eng. Arts Muhammad Qasim and Mr. Alaa Jabbar, head of the Media and Government Communication Division, with the participation of a number of students in batches at all academic levels in the college.
This campaign is part of the charitable work adopted by the Student Activity Unit (Volunteer Works Committee) at the college, to encourage students to carry out humanitarian work with the aim of investing their youthful energies to serve the community and enhance the health situation in the country.
For his part, Assistant Professor Dr. Majid Asghar Muhammad Al-Nawab, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Basra, praised the efforts made by the volunteer teams and cadres organizing the campaign, praising their attempts to provide the best services to society in light of the available capabilities, wishing them continued success in serving our beloved Iraq.
