The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled (Conditions and standards for solid scientific publishing)
The workshop included a lecture given by Professor Dr. Osama Ayoub Yacoub
explained in it how to choose the appropriate scientific journal for publication, the method of choosing the content and staying away from fake and commercial journals, according to the instructions of the Research and Development Department. Graduate students were also trained on how to publish and choose the appropriate journals for research drawn from their dissertations, and how to browse the website was also discussed. Scopus and downloading the updated Excel sheet on a monthly basis and ensuring the presence of journals in the container. How to access the Bell website for fake journals and how to identify journals to avoid publishing in them, as well as adopting the official link of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to detect and avoid counterfeit journals. There are also penalties issued for those who publish in Counterfeit magazines according to the Ministry's instructions.
