The first conference for students of the Dentistry College at Basra University was launched under the title “Science and Innovation Conference.” The conference began with a blessed recitation of the Holy Quran, then a pause of silence and the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah, out of mercy for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq.
In his speech, Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Taha Yassin, Dean Assistant for Administrative Affairs, emphasized the participation of a number of students in the conference, noting the importance of the Dentistry College at the university, stressing the capacity of higher education medical institutions to provide distinguished medical service worthy of the visual citizen in particular.
For her part, Dr. Ola Fouad Hamid, mainmember of the Scientific Committee, indicated that prizes will be awarded for the best presentation, stressing the importance of the conference in refining and exchanging experiences among students, and presenting what is new in the field of dentistry through participating presentations that are evaluated by committees. The conference aims to enhance the leadership competencies of practicing students from the Dentistry College and spread awareness about the importance of using modern technologies and applying digital technology in dentistry, in addition to benefiting from the available services by empowering practitioners to enhance community health.
