University of Basrah organizes the Third International Scientific Conference on Pathological Analysis
College of Science at University of Basrah organized the Third International Scientific Conference on Pathological Analysis under the slogan “Scientific research remains a ladder by which people ascend.” The conference aims to expand scientific awareness and revive dialogue between researchers to learn about the latest developments in medical laboratories and provide a scientific space to review the scientific production of researchers, improve the reality of laboratory work and develop research. The conference included the presentation of approximately 200 research papers and posters in the fields of medical sciences, 60 electronic papers on the first day, and practical workshops in various specializations on the second day, organized by a group of professors within various scientific specializations. Head of the Pathological Analysis Department, Dr. Aphrodite Abdel-Razzaq Saleh, said, “The conference was organized to provide a scientific space to showcase the scientific production of researchers, strengthen ties between them, and establish channels of scientific cooperation.” The conference was attended by the Assistant President of University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Ali Hussein Rashk, the head of the union’s branch in Basrah, Dr. Diya Falih Al-Fakiki, and Dean of College of Science, Dr. Jalal Jabbar and his assistants. Several foreign and Arab countries participated in the conference, including Georgia, Iran, Britain, Egypt, Syria, and many Iraqi governorates: Baghdad, Diyala, Kirkuk, Kut, Karbala, Najaf, Babil, Muthanna, Dhi Qar and Diwaniyah. The conference also witnessed the presence of many university professors and students from various colleges.
