
The College of Dentistry at Basra University held the first conference entitled (Science and Innovation), where researcher Abdullah Iyad Farouk presented his research entitled (Technical review of applications and analysis of biological materials in criminal investigations). The lecture referred to a comprehensive overview of biological evidence in forensic sciences, reviewing the methods and techniques used in analyzing this evidence and its importance in criminal investigations.
It aims to evaluate the different methods used in forensic science to analyze biological materials such as DNA, blood, hair and other bodily fluids. Also, it seeks to determine the effectiveness, reliability and accuracy of these methods in different investigative contexts. He explained the importance of continued research and development in the field of forensic biology. As technology develops, so do the challenges and opportunities within the criminal justice system. To maintain the highest standards of justice, it is essential that forensic scientists and researchers remain at the forefront of innovation, keeping pace with emerging technologies and methods.
