I researched a master’s thesis in the Department of Arabic Language / College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Basra - (grammatical casting and its effect on text cohesion (Gardens of Faces by Muhammad Khudair as an example)
By the student (Enas Mahdi Jassim), the thesis dealt with one of the standards of textual linguistics, which is the (Al-Sabk) standard, specifically in one of its sections (Al-Sabk Grammatical). In it, we talked about the definition of this concept in linguistic studies, and its relevance in the ancient Arabic lesson, while explaining its importance in Forming texts and linking them, as the research focused on studying the means that achieve casting in the stories of the book (Gardens of Faces) by the storyteller Muhammad Khudair, which are four means: (reference, deletion, substitution, connection),
The study ended with a set of results reached by the researcher, as the book Gardens of Faces included all forms of grammatical connection, and the applied study demonstrated the effect of tools on the interconnection and cohesion of the text, not only at the grammatical level, but also beyond it to the interconnection and semantic cohesion between sentences, and the mechanisms of founding emerged.
