The Food Research and Consumer Protection Unit at College of Agriculture at University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on the problems and solutions of beekeeping and honey production in Iraq, in cooperation with the Department of Bee Science at the Technical Institute in Bakirjo at the Sulaymaniyah Technical University. The workshop, which was lectured by, included Mr. Ibrahim Majeed Faraj, Head of the Department of Bee Science at the Technical Institute in Bakirgu - Sulaimaniyah Technical University, and Professor Dr. Diyaa Faleh Abdullah, Head of the Food Research and Consumer Protection Unit, in the presence of a group of professors and doctoral and master’s students at College of Agriculture at University. Basrah, a scientific lecture on the problems and solutions of beekeeping and honey production in Iraq The workshop aimed to introduce participants to how to find solutions in beekeeping to take care of food and protect the consumer by producing honey In the end, the recommendation was to pay attention to beekeeping because of its impact on national production
