The College of Dentistry at Basra University, established volunteer work, based on the principles of (My college is ⁷more beautiful) and (Iraq is the country of black), to plant a group of shrubs and flowers in the college’s gardens within the World Tree Day.
Assistant Professor Dr. Raed Taha Yassin, Dean assistant for Administrative Affairs, stressed the importance of afforestation, as it contributes to purifying the air and reducing temperatures, in addition to its role in reducing desertification and other multiple benefits of trees, which contributes to spreading the culture of afforestation and making society aware of it in a way continuous.
The campaign aimed to emphasize the protection of the environment by planting trees and green plants at the university, at home, and in all areas that can be planted, which give beauty and importance to the environment by increasing the percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere.
