The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education for Human Sciences - University of Basra organized a scientific symposium on desirable and undesirable behaviors of university students.
The symposium aimed to introduce the student’s ethics in the university community, his rights, duties, obligations, and behaviors.
The symposium presented by Dr. Mahmoud Shaker Abdullah, Dr. Amjad Abdel Razzaq, Dr. Maysaa Abdel Hamza, and the teacher, Aya Abdel Amir Ali, included providing guidance to students, introducing them to student ethics in the university environment, including rights, duties, and obligations, and explaining desired behaviors such as respecting professors and colleagues, maintaining privacy, paying attention to academic level, and how to deal with social media. The symposium emphasized avoiding undesirable behaviors such as bullying, verbal aggression, blackmail, cheating, immodesty in clothing, harassment, and other behaviors that harm collegial relationships and academic life.
