The College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Division of Religious Reporting at the Holy Shrine of Hussein, held a series of lectures on the characteristics of the blessed month of Ramadan, attended by a group of teachers and students.
During the lecture presented by Sheikh Hani Al-Asadi and Sheikh Adnan Al-Salhi, verses from the Holy Qur’an were read, and the virtue of the month of Ramadan was explained, which God Almighty designated as fasting, as it is the greatest of acts of worship, while mentioning its fruits and the wisdom of its legislation. We explained that this month is an opportunity in which the individual stands with himself and searches for it. About the aspects of imbalance and shortcomings in order to work on refining and treating them, as well as the positive aspects of fasting from a health perspective, such as activating brain cells, strengthening memory, psychological comfort, and reducing depression.
It is noteworthy that the series of lectures continues weekly throughout the holy month of Ramadan
